I have worked as a freelance rider (breaking in, schooling, exercising) and on high performance yards. This included care of Olympic dressage horses, stallions and young stock. I am currently studying BsC Equine Science at Sparsholt University.
I have had horses since the age of 7, and have been a groom since the age of 14. Most of my experience was gained through re-breaking my rescue horse which I was given when I was 15. He is now a fabulous eventer, who I aim to compete at novice for the next few years before he retires, I also have a rescued warmblood mare who I broke in the autumn and am hoping to bring up through the levels. On yards I have experience of every type of horse and every aspect of their day to day care. As a freelance rider i have experience ranging from naughty ponies to 17.2hh competition horses, with everything in between.
I am studying Equine Science at Sparsholt university, and which has units on tack, schooling programmes, bitting qualification, anatomy and physiology and nutrition. From breaking in, to re-schooling, schooling, and general fitness work.
I have competed my eventer up to 1.10m showjumping, schooled at Novice level xc, and novice dressage. Being young and not having horsey parents, I have not had a lot of experience competing as I have never had transport.
