Duties of Current Occupation
Training/riding the miles to finish green and arena sour horses for trail riding, Care/exercise of Horses, facilities maintenance, trail guide, assist PATH certified instructors with therapeutic riding lessons for special needs children and veterans.
Equine Work Experience
Trail riding, chasing cows, exercise riding and therapeutic riding. I'm always learning and looking to know more, especially training and breaking, and other styles of riding. I love how one can learn something from just about every horse person you meet, even if it's what not to do!!
Specialities
I'm an all around horse guy master of none! I'm a Western rider, my specialty has become finishing green and stable sour/arena sour horses for trail riding, getting the spook out of 'em and desensitizing them to the big "scary" trails. I grew up just knowing stock horses on farms and ranches, then got my head twisted around working with English riding Dressage and Hunter/Jumper folks - not my world but learned how to operate in those areas as well. Communicating with the humans.
Type of Ride Work
Ranch work and trail riding, I get hired to make good trail horses out of young, arena broke horses, and those that have been neglected for too long - although I am not a professional trainer. I did have to pass the CHA level III written and riding test to do exercise work for Horses With Heart.
