Equine work experience

I have been working full time at the Horse Trust an equine charity for just over two years now. Previously to this I worked at a hunt/ livery yard part time also.

Other horse experience includes 6 weeks work experience at a stud over the summer, also work experience at a riding school.

I also studied Horse management at the Berkshire College of Agriculture, which included practical and theory sessions.

Specialities

I have been working with horses now for around ten years. I can work in a team or on my own just as well. I would like to work towards my stage 3 and PTT however I'm unable to afford training costs currently which is why I haven't started my training as yet. I'm a keen worker willing to learn more and become as good as I can be. I like to think that I have a good sense of humour, I feel that this is essential for a good working yard.

Type of ride work

I have ridden a wide variety of horses over the years in jumping and flat work, also out hunting. I haven't had an extensive career in competiion, however have done local showjumping and cross country, competed at dressage up to novice level, this is due to lack of access to a horse.

I have been at college for the last five years doing equine studies, over the years I have had intensive training sessions in jumping, dressage and cross country, also learning the theory of riding.
