Duties of current occupation

current occupation is duty manager of 2 departments of the royal pier, Aberystwyth, but looking to relocate to herefordshire.

Equine work experience

Meadow Stud and Equine Practice, Huntley. 2 summers between uni, mucking out, general care of mares, high value stallions and youngstock, preparing for and travelling to sales/auctions, assisting with scans/inseminations/semen collections/vet treatment, exercising/schooling and use of the horsewalker.

Lluest Equine Centre, Aberystwyth Uni as a supervisor, mucking out, exercising/schooling horses, general care of 25 horses and management of 6-8 first year students.Worked on the Holme Lacy College Yard as a yard assistant, mucking out, exercising, general care of 14 horses.

After leaving school I worked for Nenenka Hackneys in the Forest of Dean as a groom for a showing/stud/driving yard, mucking out, exercising horses (riding/lungeing/long reining/driving), some stud work, grooming at shows. Left in sole charge when required.

Specialities

Punctual, hard working and eager to please. Very high standards, with the horse's welfare a high priority. Always striving to improve, and looking to complete BHS PTT.

Type of ride work

Ride to BHS/NVQ level 2 (have NVQ2 qualification). Also have BHS ride and road safety certificate. I'm a quiet and capable rider, willing to school/exercise as needed.

Competition details

Competed as a teen in unaffilliated showjumping, dressage and hunter trials. Competed in indoor driving trials throughout winter months of my teens.
Now currently bringing on my own horse to compete at BE intro. Competing at prelim/novice tests, jumping up to 80cms at shows.
