Job Description

Gooromon Park Riding School is looking for a Fulltime Equestrian Manager. Gooromon Park is the leading riding school in the National Capital of Australia. You will be working in a friendly environment that has excellent pay rates, conditions and facilities.

The successful applicant must be fully qualified with a minimum of 2 years professional experience teaching beginner to advanced Riding School clients, you will be responsible for delivering safe, quality fun riding lessons in a busy riding school environment, overseeing the welfare of our agistment and riding school horses, and mentoring and inspiring junior instructors.

Prospective candidates must be over the age of 25 years. Should be a competent rider in Dressage, or Showjumping and Eventing. You will need to have excellent communication and customer focused skills including energy and enthusiasm, including supporting and inspiring clients into the purchase of their first horse.

This position would suit someone looking to obtain a years experience in a different country, or a prospective candidate with long term goals for migrating to Australia!!

This vacancy is available from the beginning to mid February 2012. There is accommodation available.

Requirements

Formal Qualifications are required
EA Level 2 or AHRC / International equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience as a professional riding school instructor

Arenas
Gooromon Park boasts state of the art flood lit Soiltex arenas:
• Indoor arena 40x 20m
• Outdoor Olympic sized arena 60x20m
• 20m lunging arena.
Gooromon Park’s “SOILTEX” arena surfaces are excellent for the beginner horse and rider, the Jumper or Dressage rider.

Light, airy 22 stable breezeway complex

Day Yards
The Riding School Horses utilise 18 day yards varying in size each yard is equipped with an automatic drinker.
