Job Description
Burwood Lodge is seeking a capable, motivated groom to join our team IMMEDIATELY. Must be efficient, flexible, have the capability to turn horses out to a high standard and be able to work independently. You will be working for an advanced event rider with 8 horses from Introductory to 4* in work.
This position has been re-advertised due to time wasters.
Requirements
Competition experience with eventers preferred but not essential provided you have excellent attention to detail and the ability to use your initiative and multi-task.
Required Skills
Driving license; Equine First-Aid; Lunging; Bandaging; Plaiting; Clipping; Trim/Pull; Sole Charge.
Required Expertise
Eventing.
Accommodation
Near new fully furnished flat with ensuite, kitchenette, wireless internet, TV/DVD, gas central heating, own washing machine and dryer, use of maintained vehicle.
The Facility
International eventing yard on 250 acres in the Southern Highlands of NSW - only 1.5 hours from Sydney. Close to beaches, local towns, train stations, vineyards and great restaurants.
Brand new 60 x 40 sand arena, grass jumping area, stables, cross country area, access to several indoor arenas and a sand track, grass hillwork area. Currently we have 9 eventers in work from Introductory to 4* level. We travel overseas and extensively within Australia with the competition horses throughout the year.
