Job Description

Full time Stablehand/Groom. Must be experienced, punctual, tidy & extremely reliable. Exp in all aspects of grooming for competition. Must be confident with handling of horses inc. Stallions (although training will be provided)
Weekend work will apply when competing and must be willing to travel interstate to competitions once or twice a year. We are looking for someone long term who wishes to grow with the business and eventually manage equestrian side incl. breeding etc.
Full livery agistment provided for one horse.
6 day week. Must have a license and car.

Requirements

Ability and confidence in handling Stallions.
To be able to work independantly.
Fastidiously tidy.

Required Skills

Riding; Driving license; First-Aid; Equine First-Aid; Handling Youngstock; Schooling; Lunging; Bandaging; Plaiting; Clipping; Trim/Pull; Sole Charge.

Required Expertise

Dressage; Livery; Sole Charge; Stud; Flatwork.

Accommodation

This is not a live-in position

The Facility

Yering Equestrian Park is a magnificent equestrian facility with a first class Indoor arena, massive 75 x 45 all weather outdoor arena, full livery agistment, 9 stables. We offer dressage and showjumping instruction, horse training, educating, and care for horses whilst owners are holidaying.
Our arenas are available for hire and we hold regular clinics with top level riders and instructors from Australia and overseas.
