Job Description
Currently looking for a stud assistant / stud hand,who is fit and able to assist in all stud duties. Feeding horses, care of mares,foals, stallions and yongstock, assist vet,farrier,dentist,rugging horses,sale preparation of young stock,showing clients horses for sale,monitoring horses health, worming, vacinating,assisting with foaling,serving mares,cleaning stables etc.For more information on us check our website.
Requirements
Suitable person must be physically fit and able to assist in all general stud day to day activities.Some experience with handling young horses and mares and foals is required.Experience with stallions is also good.I need someone who can start in july or august 2009.
Required Skills
Driving license; Drive Horsebox; First-Aid; Equine First-Aid; Handling Youngstock; Lunging; Bandaging; Plaiting; Clipping; Trim/Pull; Natural Horsemanship.

Accomodation is fully selfcontained and furnished in mobile home on farm with all amenities.May share with other workers.

The Facility
we are in the yarravalley on 160 acres and breed warmblood horses, .we have about 55 horses all very well cared for and are currently preparing to sell alot of young ones we bred going under saddle. We train and compete dressage horses throught Australia at leading competitions, We are also looking for a groom/stable hand to work with professional dressage rider and trainer, duties include tacking and un tacking of horses, show prep, feeding up and daily duties.I am happy to employ overseas applicants and have accomodation. I am looking for an experienced stud worker caphable of working when left unsupervised and who has alot of experience and expertise.. We stand 4 warmblood stallions and Also we have 13 mares due to foal from oct 2011 to jan 2012
