Job Description

We require a highly motivated, experienced horseperson to manage our busy trail riding yard. You will be responsible for the daily care of our trail team of 16 horses, leading trail rides for groups of up to 10 clients, training of trail guides and horses and development of new rides and packages for tourists and recreational riders.

Requirements

Ideally you will already hold a recognised teaching, coaching or trail ride guiding qualification, first-aid certificate and working with children check, or equivalent, however these may be attained upon commencement if your proven employment history demonstrates a capacity to cope well in extreme conditions, a love of working outdoors and of course with horses and people and an ability to understand and implement risk management protocols.

Required Skills

Riding; First-Aid; Equine First-Aid; Sole Charge.

Required Expertise

Riding School; Sole Charge; Trekking.

Accommodation

Accommodation in own double bedroom with sitting room. Shared house with other team members - usually working holiday visa holders. Though situated in a rural envronment the riding centre is close to shops, driving distance to beaches and nightlife.
