Job Description

Looking for a full time groom (6 days / week) taking care of all what concerns horses (stable maintenance, horses maintenance, riding).
When can you start ? We (my husband and I) are looking for a new groom to take care of a small yard 15 minutes from Liège city. You would be responsible for taking care of 5-6 horses.
You will be responsible for taking care of our horses (old, mares, foals ,young ones) as if they were your own and daily duties of a horse yard such as mucking out, feeding, turning out, prep for riding, riding (depending on experience), cleaning tack. Experience in competition is not required.
This vacancy is ideal for someone who wants a close contact with the horses, you will be working with and will learn about the level of attention to detail, time management and structured routines. We need a dedicated, enthusiastic stable lad /lass to take care of our horses and who knows that’s a hard job that never ends and who will not be home sick after 2 weeks.
You will be able to ride depending on skills after your daily duties.
As you will be living in with us in the house you have to be respectable of personal space and generally neat and tidy.
I am very into details on the yard (stable is like the third living room of the house :)), as it is only a small establishment it is expected that the yard is kept in immaculate condition at all times and you must therefore be a person who likes structure and details in all aspects.

Requirements

The love of horses....of well kept things (yard, horses , house....)
Our horses are well behaved but you must be competent and able to keep them well mannered.
Drivers licence is preferable as you have use of a car during your time off.

Accommodation

You'll have your own fully furnished bedroom in the house with a small bathroom; free internet access with own computer (preferably, if none possibility to use ours), access to the kitchen (however must be orderly). I will cook most nights and always tries to be nutritious however will not mind you cooking everyone in a while just for a change :) you will be very happy here and it feels like home for the very first day.
