Job Description
Looking for full time stable hand in the Didsbury area. Must have experience with race horses. Must have experience with treadmills or treadmill pools. Ability to maintain pool an asset. Duties include feeding, watering, blanketing, checking horses for health, conditioning horses using treadmill pool and hot walker, cleaning stalls and barn areas, meeting with veterinarian and clients. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 25kg. Must be able to read/write notes to self. Must be able to work in a damp environment.
Required Skills
Equine First-Aid; Handling Youngstock; Sole Charge; Exercising.
Required Expertise
Racing Flat; Sole Charge.
The Facility
We operate an Equine Treadmill Pool where we rehabilitate condition and train all types of horses. The majority of our clients are race horses and rodeo horses. We also offer riding lessons and training for pleasure/show horses.
