Job Description

We are looking for a trainee member of a very small team to assist with either the insemination centre or the stud's own horses. Must be confident around horses, with some experience. Most important is a cheerful positive attitude!
Ideal opportunity for someone wishing to experience French culture and, learn the language whilst living in the Loire Valley, and working with top quality horses. Accommodation is provided, plus the main meal of the day, use of a car & a French lesson weekly. Expenses reimbursed. Ideal for someone from NZ or Australia for thier 1st visit to Europe.
If applicable help is also required on the land - general field and property maintenance.

The Facility

Leading Trakehner stud in France (owned by English who moved to France 5 years ago) and runs an Insemination Centre, with a resident vet, during the breeding season - March to July.
The property has an indoor stable yard and 33 ha. of land - in total about 20 horses.
The young horses are well handled and prepared for work under saddle at three years old. We currently have an Australian rider who competes in both dressage and eventing.
