Au Pair/GroomLot

Job Description

We are looking for an au pair/groom to start with us as soon as possible and we´d like like for this person to stay a minimum of 8 months, preferably 10. We have two children, age 1 and 4,5, so experience with children is a definate bonus but no must. We are small, private yard with 14 horses& ponies. We do natural horsemanship and classical dressage. Our ponies are also trained for driving, so any experience with that is looked upon as a bonus. All our horses have natural living conditions and are barefoot. The person coming to us has possibility to improve her riding, learn basics in horsemanship and natural hoofcare plus better their French skills.

Requirements

We´re looking for someone with an open, outgoing personality who is not afraid of responsibility, taking charge and working independently. We also hope that this person has initiative of her own and is independent where it comes to own social activities.

Required Skills

Driving license; Equine First-Aid; Sole Charge; Exercising.

Required Expertise

Sole Charge; Working with children.

Accommodation

Spacious two bedroom separate flat with kitchen & bathroom/shower to be shared possibly with another au pair/groom

Benefits

Possibility to improve your French with French lessons, 1-2/week. Possibility to improve your riding both with a trained "Ride with your Mind" instructor and some classical dressage lessons - lessons partly paid by us. Basic instruction given in driving, natural horsemanship and barefoot trimming

The Facility

A small private yard with a mix of 15 ponies and horses. We do natural horsemanship and classical dressage. The ponies are being trained for driving and riding, We do some remedial work and organize some clinics.We are looking for somebody to start with us in August and stay for at least 8 months, possibly longer if the arrangement suits both parties.
