Job Description

Family on large stud and training farm in Normandy looking for an au pair / groom to help with 8 year old boy and family horses. Our current au pair is moving to Paris to complete her studies at the end of February so we would like to start interviewing as soon as possible. Must be confident rider and horse lover as will be expected to ride thoroughbreds and hunters, also able to continue our sons riding lessons and accompany him on rides. Some knowledge of french is essential as you will be helping our son with his homework. It would be a great opportunity for someone looking to experience life in France. English / Irish couple but most staff on the farm speak french. You will live as part of the family and be very responsible and dedicated to the role as we are a very busy household, where everyone pitches in. My husband manages the farm and I have a business overseas which means I have to travel quite a bit. It is vital we have someone we can rely on and can commit to a minimum of six months to ensure consistency for all. Great fun and lots of riding for the right candidate - lovely room, internet access and surrounded by horses and super hacking and facilities. We have whippets and cats too so ideal for animal lovers.

Requirements

Must arrange own riders insurance and medical insurance, any visas etc. required must be arranged in advance we can supply paperwork etc.
