Job Description
All work involved with keeping broodmares and youngstock! Feeding, turning them in and out, helping with farrier and vet, keeping everything clean and neat.
I have a six year old son who speaks fluent English and the right candidate should be able to get along with him well, maybe play with him sometimes or take him to activities. NO housekeeping required!!!
We also have a small number of poultry (some chickens and ducks and a dog!
Sometimes you'll be the sole caretaker of the place, but there's always help available!
There will also be quite a bit of free time and this is a beautiful, peaceful place to live at!
Requirements
You should be familiar with all work around horses and this will involve some weekend work as well. Weekend working time is limited to the very minimum! We're not looking for someone to exploit, but you shouldn't be afraid of work. You do not need any experience with riding, but you should be able to put a halter or bridle on, to help with vet and farrier, etc.
How much work you have to do will basically depend on your position here, but there will be plenty of free time as well!
Required Skills
Driving license; Drive Horsebox; Equine First-Aid; Handling Youngstock; Sole Charge.
Accommodation
Own appartment on site. Fully furnished with British satellite TV. Modern and quite new!

The Facility
We're a well-know private studfarm in northern Germany, breeding German Riding Ponies and Westphalian Warmbloods.
We're expecting 13 foals this season and keep a total of 25 to 30 horses and ponies. Our studfarm is very interesting for anyone interested in keeping broodmares, foaling, raising and showing them, etc.
The main work on this farm is feeding, turning them in and out, helping with vet and farrier, checking fences, cleaning stalls (we have a tractor to use for that) and keeping things neat and clean. There is NO riding at our place, as we really only keep broodmares and youngstock!
We're looking for a working student or groom who will have their own studio appartment with bathroom and small but fully equipped kitchen. The studio even has quite a few British satellite TV channels and is fully furnished. It's new and modern!
