Job Description

Reliable enthusiastic working student required for minimum of 6 months. Duties will involve day to day care of horses (feeding, bedding, turnout, grooming, tacking up, vet care, schooling young horses etc.) and assisting instructors 51/2 days/week. You must be confident on a horse and able to jump min 1.10m(3ft6in). There will be plenty for riding and opportunities to compete in showjumping, dressage and cross-country with the right abilities.

The Facility

Annaharvey Farm is AIRE approved and a BHS Where to Ride Centre specialising in equestrian holidays and cross country. Indoor and outdoor arenas, cross country course from simple logs to CNC**. Guest house and tack shop on site. Annaharvey is also a working tillage farm with hacking on the farms 400 acres. Competitions are regularly held including showjumping leagues, riding club competitions, hunter trials and affiliated dressage shows and one-day-events. There are about 85 horses on the farm ranging from school ponies to international eventers and national hunt broodmares. Instructors qualified to BHSII and BSc with training for BHS exams available.
