Job Description

We require a track work rider. We run a breaking in, pre-training and agistment business and most of our horses are in the early stages of their education.
We need a track rider who is confident, competent and has a good work ethic to join our team. The successful applicant would be expected to ride young horses as they progress from breaking in through to pre-training and training stages.
This position may suit someone from other equestrian disciplines with track work experience. The ability to assist with breaking in would be an advantage but is not essential.

Requirements

The successful applicant must be competent and confident riding young thoroughbreds.
It is also important that the applicant has a drivers license.

Required Skills

Riding; Driving license; Handling Youngstock; Starting/Breaking.

Required Expertise

Racing Flat; Racing NH.

Accommodation

We have a four bedroom, fully furnished house on the farm. This is shared accomodation.

The Facility

We run a Breaking in and Pre-Training farm based in Matamata in the heart of the thoroughbred industry in New Zealand.

We have a motivated and skilled team of individuals who work along side us. This enables us to deliver a high standard of early education and handling for these valuable thoroughbreds.

We have excellent facilities, purpose built yards, arena, training track and walker to name but a few.

We have a number of local and international clients for which we strive to deliver a professional service.
