Job Description
'Take a Ride on the Wildside' We need your help at the rehab centre with both young, old and the infirm.
Grooming, tacking up and backing up on our beach trails, you get a riding holiday with lots of work, but loads of fun too. General care and mantainance of all horses, feeding, watering and dipping.
We are three woman working with young horses, lunging, backing and schooling, we are up to 45 horses now, 17 of these work for the others, 'Horses working for Horses' beat the agent and book direct..
Requirements
People must be willing to contibute financially for their stay with us, have some knowledge of horses and riding ability, they must have a passion for horses, your contribution is for accom, food and transport to and from the airport, whats left over goes towards the horses. This project is not funded or sponsored, just sheer hard work by a family that has a passion for horses. Yard and Groom have sponsored these adverts many thanks to them.

Accommodation
Volunteers can 'live in' as family or we have a two bedroom cottage seperate from the homestead if they require their own space. Also a rondavel quite close to the farmhouse which is mainly just sleeping accomodation, You can even have a tent and sleep under the stars

The Facility
'Take A Ride On The Wild Side'.
We have been running trails for 14 years and rehab centre for 11, trails on the beach next to the Indian Ocean is an income for the rescue centre.
"Horses Working for Horses", most of our trail horses are previously rescued, abused or unwanted, They have been through rehab and work for the other guys. All our trail horses are turned out in their social groups, we have 17 working horses the other 27 are at the centre.
We need help with training young horses to harness and experience in driving tandem.
Your contribution as a volunteer covers your stay and whats left over helps to transpot rescue horses, it pay vets, medication, farrier and dentist. Very often we pay the owners be able to rescue these horses.
Bypass the agents and spend time with us riding the beach or working with youngsters and oldies, we need the financial assistance of volunteers and the extra hands. Please Help
