Job Description
We desperatly need help, we are three women running an Equine Rescue Centre in South Africa. This is a live-in position helping with 45 horses 80% of them are rescued horses, they are in need of your help and so are we.
The help we need is, mixing feed, checking water, helping with grooming, tacking up and as back up on trails and interacting with local and international clients on the trails.
It's loads of work and lots of fun, come and join us!!!
Requirements
We need a person with experience in all aspects of taking care of equines young and old, dentistry and farrier work would be a plus. Also knowledge of horses in harness would be good. Can you fix fences and drive a tractor, we always need that sort of help,contact us for more info.

Accommodation
There is a cottage attached to the main homestead which is shared by volunteers that should be with us at the time, or if you want space we have a rondavel 15 metres from the cottage, but sleeping space only. Accomodation may not be 5 ***** , but our company is priceless!!! join us for the African experience, you can even sleep under the stars.

Contact us and hear for yourselves from othr volunteers what they have acheived while being with us. Give an 'oldie' a bit f TLC and take him/her out on a quiet hack or work with a youngster and give the extra schooling they need. We're jut three women trying to keep these guys fit and happy.
The Facility
'Take A Ride On The Wild Side'.
We have been running trails for 14 years and rehab centre for 11, trails on the beach next to the Indian Ocean is an income for the rescue centre.
"Horses Working for Horses", most of our trail horses are previously rescued, abused or unwanted, They have been through rehab and work for the other guys. All our trail horses are turned out in their social groups, we have 17 working horses the other 27 are at the centre.
We need help with training young horses to harness and experience in driving tandem.
Your contribution as a volunteer covers your stay and whats left over helps to transpot rescue horses, it pay vets, medication, farrier and dentist. Very often we pay the owners be able to rescue these horses.
Bypass the agents and spend time with us riding the beach or working with youngsters and oldies, we need the financial assistance of volunteers and the extra hands. Please Help
