The Modern Apprenticeship course studying towards a Diploma at level 2 or 3 is for one year, generally commencing in September. (Occasionally have vacancies at other times of the year, so it is worth enquiring). Some people who wish to become instructors prefer not to do the Apprenticeship scheme and for them we run a 1 year course towards the BHS Stages and Preliminary Teaching Test.

On a work based learning scheme such as this, you will be part of the yard team and your duties will include all aspects of stable management i.e., mucking out, cleaning tack, assisting with riding lessons, field maintenance etc. In fact you will take part in everything needed to run a busy centre such as ours. We also offer:


• 5 day week. 7.30 to 5.30 – sometimes you may be required to work a late night for which you would get time off in lieu.
• Opportunity to study towards BHS examinations, (particularly for those who wish to teach).
• Guaranteed Regular lessons in riding and stable management.

• Self catering accommodation

The ideal candidate will have a desire to gain a teaching qualification.
