Job Description
Hawtins Stud is a large Hanoverian dressage stud. Our focus is on training and competing our young horses to produce them for sale and a long-term career. Our horses are known for their excellent movement, temperament and rideability. The primary focus of this role is on training and competing the stud’s horses. Our horses go to their first competition early in their fourth year for their development. They only go out when they are ready and will be well-behaved. We also take part in the various young horse classes as an education for the horses and to promote the stud. The horses also compete in the conventional BD competitions with the aim of qualifying for the regional championships to demonstrate their ability and potential. We retain some horses in the stud to train and compete to higher levels. This gives the riders an opportunity to develop their skills and it is good marketing for the stud as it raises our profile.

Additional yard with a further eight stables including four foaling boxes.
Large oval horse walker, large fenced lunge arena, winter wood chip turnout pen and a 20m x 60m outdoor arena. Nearby turnout paddocks for stabled horses.
