Job Description

We are looking for motivated students to train in or Riding School Team, you will train towards Nptc Diploma In Work Based Horse Care Over a 12 week period

This is an ideal pathway for you if you are considering working in the equestrian industry and your between 16-24 years old this placement is suitable for an inexperienced groom to get the training on a busy riding school to further their career.

You can train for a minimum 30 hours per week before potentially converting it to a full employed-status paid Apprenticeship. (at the end of the twelve week period*)

The learner will start to work towards achieving elements and units of their Apprenticeship framework qualifications and will complete your functional skills (if needed) during the first 8 weeks.

you can also complete stand alone units if you are over 19 years old

once you complete the first 12 week training period there is the oppertunity to apply for a 1 year contract for a paid apprentice position!

NPTC Diploma in Work Based Horse Care

All units are available for you to look at upon request

Apprentices will have two formal riding lessons a week plus woodland riding. all lectures are free and there is no sign up fee.

At the completion of your placement we will provide you with a work placement reference even if you do not continue on to 1 year paid aprentice contract.

Requirements

No experiance nessecerry however a keen desire to learn and work in a riding school environment essential. Must work well in a team and have a good rappore with the general public and clients

The Facility

We have a medium sized riding school, and look after 40 plus horses. We have a 25m x 45m all weather arena, off road woodland hacking |& small cross country facilities. We are primarily a family run riding school incorporating a small livery yard. We have an active junior riding team competing in affiliated and UN affiliated competitions. We have some young stock that need bringing on and often have competition or show jumpers to train. We offer NVQ training and will support our employees through their BHS Stages.
