Job Description
Full Time Groom required for busy, high standard Livery yard.
We're a large 40 box yard in the Harrogate area who offer mostly Full Livery, with packages ranging from basic care to livery that includes ridden work/schooling and preparation for Show days/competition.
We are looking for a new Full time member of staff to join our existing full timer and part timer. The position is that of a six day week, duties include turn out/bring in, mucking out, cleaning of the fields, and plenty of ridden work available for the capable rider.
We expect a good level of efficiency from our staff, as well as good mannerisms when dealing with clients. We pride ourselves on being a professional establishment who offer an excellent standard of care and ridden work to our liveries.
Applicants must be able to ride to a decent standard, capable of schooling and exercising out potentially highly-strung horses.
We have fantastic facilities here, the superb quality Indoor School and excellent hacking making exercise of client horses an absolute pleasure!
Requirements
-Capable Rider
-Efficient at all yard duties
-Sensible when handling all horses, especially those who are on the 'flightier' side
-Happy to be left in 'sole charge' of the yard when necessary, although this would be a rare occurrence
Required Skills
Riding; Equine First-Aid; Schooling; Lunging; Bandaging; Plaiting; Clipping; Trim/Pull; Sole Charge; Exercising.
Required Expertise
Livery.

Own room in a large, recently built house on premises. All living expenses covered.

High standard livery yard with 42 boxes, a 40x20 outdoor school and a 60x22 Indoor school. All year round turnout, Grass, DIY, Assisted DIY, Part Livery and Full Livery packages available.
