Job Description
Help wanted bringing on four recently backed youngsters to include groundwork/ridden work and some groom duties (two of which are to be prepared for sale). We are looking for someone with experience of working with the sensitive Lusitano breed and/or NH experience, who likes to have fun with, and confident around youngsters. We believe play is an important part of young horses education and would welcome candidates with experience of natural horsemanship methods, classical riding or simply riders with soft giving hands! Facilities are limited so candidates must be confident to work in secure paddocks, leading out on country roads and loading/travelling horses.
Requirements
A mature attitude with a quiet disposition around horses. Soft, light hands and aids essential as well as a good sense of humour with a fun outlook on life. Youngsters will need to be exposed to everyday activities as well as leading/riding along canal paths thus must have good equine leadership skills. This is a small private yard so candidates must be happy to work alone.
Required Skills
Riding; Drive Horsebox; Handling Youngstock; Schooling; Sole Charge; Exercising; Natural Horsemanship; Parelli Horsemanship.
Required Expertise
Dressage; Sole Charge; Trekking; Flatwork.
Accommodation
None. Local candidates only please.
Benefits
Possibility to offer a more permanent position/regular contract in the future depending on the candidates abilities/goals as we are looking to offer a fun environment to train and educate both horse and rider as well as host clinics, workshops and training courses in 2012.
The Facility
Set in a quiet semi rural position, we are a small friendly private yard that propose to offer training and production of youngsters using equines own natural communication systems in 2012. We also intend to offer training workshops/holidays during the summer months. The training livery service will include holistic therapies i.e. massage, equi laser, Masterson Method, acupressure and play therapy.
