Job Description

Polo groom for 2012 season to start in Feb to Sept.
We are looking for a groom who has experience with horses, ideally polo ponies. Someone who can take the initiative to work on their own with approx 10 horses. They need bringing in to get fit, they are kept out so no mucking out duties, being tacked up & ready to play tournaments at weekends and chukkas twice a week.
All easy horses, we can teach a groom about polo but they do need to have horse riding skills, schooling abilities & knowledge of mainaining a yard & basic vetrinary knowledge of horses (i.e cuts, scrapes, lameness)
Full time work, 6 days a week, Mondays free.
£300 per week
Based out of Lode, Cambridgeshire and parts of Suffolk . Must be willing to travel away at weekends.
HGV License would be a major bonus, more money offered if so, however not a necesity to have this license.

Benefits

If you have an HGV Licence (To drive an articulated lorry with trailer) we would be willing to increase your salary.

The Facility

We have between 10-15 polo ponies. Some retired, most playing. We play polo out of Lode, Cambridgeshire but travel at weekends to other clubs.
All our horses are kept outside in paddock with a horse walker available.
The horses will be moving after one month of fitness to the polo club where there is 400 acres of riding available with stick & ball grounds etc.
