Job Description

Yard Assistant required to work as part of a team to care for school horses, supervise students in the care of their own horses, assist with lessons and all other general yard duties as directed by Yard Manager and Director of Riding.

Requirements

We require that our staff are mature enough to supervise students of up to 19 years old in a professional manner and are willing to assist with lessons.
A teaching qualification is desirable although not essential as training will be given.

Required Skills

Riding; Lunging; Bandaging; Plaiting; Clipping; Teaching; Trim/Pull.

Required Expertise

Livery; Working with children.

Shared accommodation, fully furnished. All meals provided.

Benefits

Excellent benefits. On-site shared accommodation, all meals provided. Full wage, nothing deducted for living costs. Training with BHS qualified staff. During term time, staff will attend 2 lessons a week, 1 ride, 1 SM/Coaching/PTT.
2 full consecutive days off a week including 1 weekend day.
Overtime available on days off as students need to be supervised by staff at external competitions/trips.

We have stabling for up to 50 horses, 2 outdoor arenas, 1 indoor arena, cross country fences, 2 horse walkers, solarium, lecture room and much more.
