Job Description
Looking for an instructor that has a positive attitude, is safety conscious, and can teach a variety of students ranging widely in age and ability. Good people and communication skills is a must. Person must be able to be a team player. Instructor must be able to develop creative, versatile and interesting lesson plans.
We have a very large lesson program, and are a recognized pony club riding center. Our students range in age from 4 to 68, and participate in a variety of equine activities. Some of our students are recreational; some are competitive, but always with the focus of having fun. We have a great string of very safe lesson ponies and horses.
Duties include assisting with feeding, turnouts, and stalls approximately 20hrs/wk. Encourage and oversee “Barn Rats” to partake in horse chores and barn activities.
Our facility has large outdoor riding rings, and 2 indoors. We have 2 cross country courses from 18” to Novice, and some trails. There are 30 stalls, heated tack rooms, feed room, class room, and bathrooms.
Live-in position and possible board for horse. Pay is part hourly and part commission based with good incentives. We already have new students enrolled for 2012!
Requirements
Must be good with kids.
