Job Description

The ideal candidate for the position would be an adult female, with a strong passion and desire to learn, and a flexible schedule. Average monthly commitment is 1 weekend, and 1 half day on a weekday per month.
**Please note! There is no monetary compensation in this position**

Duties:
~Accompanying me to USEF/USDF recognized dressage shows within N. Carolina and possibly surrounding states.
~Accompanying me to Classical Dressage Clinics and Short Courses
~Ensuring I’ve packed my list of needed things for the trip.
~Braiding, grooming and aiding in prep work (training involved)
~General fetching of forgotten items
~Ensuring I remember to eat and drink on schedule
~Ensuring I am mounted and warming up on time
~Time keeper so I am ready for tests on time
~Health checks of show horses (training involved)
~General company, and keeping me mentally grounded (I’m not a wound up type, but showing at this level without company is daunting)
~Videography, and photography (cameras and training provided)

Requirements

Female 18 years or older (no exceptions), clean criminal record with no alcoholism or substance abuse history, non smoker, physically capable of bending and lifting, calm, willing to travel overnight. Ability to leave family and pets for several days. Be a calm personality, and be local to the Raleigh Triangle area.

The Facility

I am an adult amateur in pursuit of my medals with 30 years equestrian experience; the past 10 of which being focused on classical dressage. Other areas of expertise include nutrition, establishing ground manners, rehabilitating abused horses, maintaining the EPSM/PSSM horse, developing the equestrian athlete for longevity (the basis of classical dressage!), classical position, as well as hoofcare/trimming.
