Job Description

Private barns needs immediate team member. Small Arabian/TB breeding, conditioning or race horses needs all around (does a bit of everything) couple or individual who is repopsible and caring to horses. No race experience needed-just common sense. No smoking or drugs. Open mind is needed to different training methods. Not suitable to family with small children as apt is in the barn area. Breeding/reproduction knowledge a plus.

Requirements

Person or couple must be willing to do all aspects of horse/ranch care - mucking stalls, feed, water, work with young stock, handle stallions, breeding experience a plus but will train, honest, reliable and clean. Must be willing to work weekends with day off during the week.

Required Skills

Driving license; Drive Horsebox; Equine First-Aid; Handling Youngstock; Lunging; Sole Charge; Exercising.

Required Expertise

Sole Charge; Stud.

Accommodation

The 2 bedroom apt is about three years old with a small bath, central A/C & heat, a full kitchen and living area. Includes all utilities, locaal phone and satellite TV. Fully furnished and clean.

Benefits

Negoitable salary plus 2 bedroom apt (approx 950 sq ft) plus all utilities and sattellite TV aand local phone.

The Facility

Small Arabian race horse farm located on 300 acres in Central Texas. We breed French/Polish Arabians for the race track, run Arabians in four states, and restart retired racers into other second careers. Our programs are built on mutual respect - we form strong human/equine bonds to better communicate and to stimulate peak performance ability in each horse. We all work as a team in a very low stress environment. A new, non-smoking and drug free team member or working couple is needed immediately. Please contact me by phone, home or cell.
