Job Description
Trainer at a compettion minded event facility needs a smart, dependable, full time assistant to manage barn, staff, supervise riders, groom, oversee care of show horses, coordinate facility maintenance, manage website, do marketing, possibly ride and teach. Position includes some barn chores and arena maintenence.
Requirements
Must have the desire to be a part of the team, and have a positive attitude.
Required Skills
Riding; Driving license; Drive Horsebox; Equine First-Aid; Schooling; Lunging; Bandaging; Plaiting; Clipping; Teaching; Trim/Pull; Sole Charge; Exercising.
Required Expertise
Dressage; Eventing; Riding School; Working with children.
Accommodation
Lovely shared housing available. Must be willing to share night check duties a few nights a week. No pets please.
Benefits
Lessons and training available with upper level event rider. FEI dressage judge and trainer within hacking distance. Possible room for advancement. One week paid vacation to be taken in the off season.
The Facility
Emerald Glen Stables is a growing business comprised of a 25 stall barn, indoor and outdoor arenas, large outdoor jumping arena, small cross country course, trotting track, and hillwork trail. Turnout consists of individual paddocks and grass fields.
