Job Description

Seeking individuals for Internships. Basic knowledge of all phases of horsemanship, stall cleaning, lunging, long lining, riding, tacking, and grooming, to train to perform in first class equestrian theater, in south east Wisconsin.Gain experience in dressage, free style and theatrical entertainment styles. Internship is for 6 month or more. Potential job offer as an entertainer, after internship.

Requirements

Perform in costume in our theatre with a 300 seat capacity. Having a team spirit, and willing to work and learn is a plus.

Required Skills

Riding; Lunging; Exercising; Starting/Breaking.

Required Expertise

Dressage; Riding School; Showing.

The Facility

Internship includes all phases of horse care, stall cleaning, maintenance, record keeping, lunging, long lining, riding, training and an opportunity to appear in a live theatre horse production. Work and learn alongside professional horse trainers. Gain experience in dressage, free style and theatrical entertainment styles. Internship is from 6 months to a year. The Dancing Horses Theatre is a unique state-of-the-art entainment venue. Along with our performing horses we are home to more than 40 horses, and other exotic animals. Sitting on 40 acres of pasture and woods; located in a tourist area in Wisconsin near the Illinois border. We offer dorm-style housing for all Interns.
