Job Description
We are looking for a gap year student or volunteer who will be able to teach basic and advance horse riding to our children, teenagers and adult riders. We teach English riding, dressage, and jumping. The person will also be involved in the daily management of the stables, supervising grooms, exercising ponies and horses, planning of lessons, breaking in youngsters, treating injured horses etc.
Requirements
Teaching children of all ages and levels will be the main job, so the basic requirement would be to have instruction experience for all levels and ages.

Benefits
The owner of the stables is a very experienced FEI level 2 instructor herself and has competed extensively in dressage and jumping. There will be extensive training where required of the person taking the job. Other benefits would be gaining experience in managing a big yard and learning about all aspects of the daily routine of stable and horse management (being in Lusaka make things more challenging but interesting from a learning point of view, a lot of hands-on direct work)
The Facility
Privately owned riding school and livery yard on the outskirts of Lusaka in Zambia. Riding lessons for children, teenagers and adults. Over 100 horses and ponies of all ages and abilities. Own breeding and breaking in. Hacking possibilities in the nearby forest reserve. Outdoor arenas and fields for lessons and training, with jumping area. Paddocks and fields for outdoor grazing.
