Based in a purpose built centre, opened in 2017 in rural Suffolk we use horses to provide remedial and therapeutic activities for adults and children from the Ipswich & East Suffolk area with physical and learning disabilities; and social, emotional and mental health issues including autism and dementia.
Our centre is a place where disabled and non-disabled people come together with a shared purpose, build friendships, a sense of belonging, confidence and self-esteem centred around our equine activities. By providing fun and engaging activities including horse riding and carriage driving and the opportunity to learn about and engage in the care of horses, participants’ physical health and mental wellbeing is improved.
Our 12 horses and ponies are cared for by BHS qualified and experienced staff and trained volunteers in modern facilities at our 5 star rated centre.
