We live on a family property of several hectares near Wavre partly wooded. To support this activity, we are currently seeking a versatile worker (under the "household staff" category [CP 337]). The care of the horses mainly consists of feeding them, turning them out to pasture, daily maintenance of the stalls and shelters, and keeping the tracks and other facilities in good working order. The work in the forest involves ensuring that paths remain open, gathering dead and residual wood to be burned, chipped, or cut into firewood. Maintenance of the grounds includes sweeping or blowing the ground and access areas to the stables and outbuildings, seasonal cleaning of gutters, drains, and downspouts, mowing, leveling, and possibly fertilizing pastures, monitoring and repairing fences, and wintering the removal and collection of fallen leaves.
To hold this position, knowledge of horses is required, as well as the ability to handle them calmly, carefully, and patiently. The execution of numerous tasks involves the use of available equipment and therefore the ability to carefully operate light agricultural machinery (tractors, trailers, harrows, graders, mowers, brush cutters, blowers, chainsaws, etc.) and to methodically perform routine maintenance. The work schedule is determined by the horse-farming day, which begins and ends with feeding time, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. It includes Saturdays mornings. We therefore offer a schedule of minimum 36 hours over 6 days per week, with a daily schedule that can be adjusted as needed based on circumstances, unforeseen emergencies, and the employee's requests for time off.
The job justifies the provision of accommodation on the property, that consists of a fully-equipped separate building of 100 square meters (two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room opening onto a private garden). The tax value of this in-kind benefit will be deducted from the agreed-upon remuneration.

The tax value of this in-kind benefit will be deducted from the agreed-upon remuneration.
