We are a private show jumping and breeding yard in the beautiful Black Forest in Southern Germany – a quiet, rural setting within the greater Stuttgart area. We do not deal in horses and do not take in livery or client horses – our focus is entirely on the training and development of our own exceptionally talented horses. This is a full professional position for an experienced rider – it is not a teaching yard and not a place to learn to ride. The welfare of our horses and a respectful, considerate way of handling them are of the utmost importance to us and are at the heart of everything we do.

Our horses are produced and competed by an internationally experienced rider, and we are now looking for his right hand. Your main responsibilities will be the flatwork and dressage-based schooling of our horses at all stages of training, jumping and gymnastic work under guidance, and supporting the head rider in the daily training program. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to compete at shows. This is a pure riding position: all stable work is done by our grooms, who also prepare and care for the horses for you – only in rare cases (e.g. holiday cover) might occasional help be needed.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a professional riding position, not a training or working-student opportunity. We do not offer riding lessons, and this role is not suitable for beginners or leisure riders. Riding as a job means schooling several horses a day, independently and to a professional standard, in all weather, day in and day out.

Proven, solid experience in the dressage-based schooling and development of horses is essential – you must be able to work horses on the flat independently and correctly. You should be confident and capable over fences, have a genuine feel for horses and a professional, reliable work ethic. You must share our values: horse welfare always comes first, and every horse is treated with respect and patience.

We will actively support and further develop the riding of an already capable rider, but we cannot and will not teach the fundamentals – a sound, established riding foundation is a strict requirement. Applications will only be considered if they include video material of your riding (flatwork and jumping) as well as references. Applications without video footage cannot be taken into account.

A lovely, self-contained private apartment for your sole use, located directly at the yard in a quiet and beautiful rural setting in the Black Forest, within easy reach of the greater Stuttgart area. The apartment is fully furnished and equipped – including bed linen, towels, and a complete set of crockery and kitchenware – so you can simply move in and feel at home from day one. WiFi and TV are provided. In addition, a daily lunch is offered, and we are happy to cater for special dietary requirements (vegetarian or other).

A pure riding position – no mucking out, no yard duties: our grooms take care of all stable work and even prepare the horses for you, so you can concentrate fully on the riding.
