We are looking for an all round Horsey Enthusiast who is a competent and confident rider with experience in handling horses/ponies, stallions and mares
HELP ON STUD FARM, SCHOOLING and TREKKING GUIDE: We are looking for an all round horsey person who can help with the Stud Farm, school young ponies and also take Treks in our Equestrian Centre, Trekking the Beautiful Wild Atlantic Way in the west of Ireland in Renvyle by the Sea in CONNEMARA for the season of 2026.
Our Stud Farm is by Artificial Insemination so lots of opportunity to learn about A.I. Breeding. Handling stallions, mares, and young stock.
In the Equestrian Centre we take our visitors out trekking along the Wild Atlantic Way. Some of the visitors have never sat on a horse before and go trekking as a "holiday thing" so the ability to communicate, put a person at ease and chat and have fun is a must.
There are a number of Connemara ponies to be schooled, great if you are able to jump, thats a bonus, perfect if able to school in Flatwork to keep them exercised and fit and get ready for competitions. (Some of the ponies are 15.2hh) Opportunity to compete for the right applicant. Applicant will also help with all the usual stable duties; mucking out / cleaning / feeding / grooming / tacking up / leading to and from fields and caring for.
Suitable applicant must be cheerful, tidy and well organised, flexible , hardworking, reliable person with a sense of humour. If you are allergic to dust, hay, pollen please do not apply.
Confident, capable, enthusiastic and able to work off their own initiative.

Requirements
Must be an experienced Rider and preferably over 21 years. Preferably a non smoker. Sorry we cannot accept applicants pets. No time wasters . Must be able to speak and understand English.
It would be a plus if you could drive a quad. *weight restriction of 11.5st. (Due to performance ponies training)

I loved to work here! its very interesting job with many different ponies. All people are very nice and polite. Liam and Breege are hardworkers with heart on the right side. Always get paid on time. I have really good time in Diamonds equine centre❤️Will miss it there a lot!

I worked as a trail guide here. It was a great experience and I enjoyed it very much. You get to ride on the beach every day! Everyone is very patient and they explain everything to you so there cannot be any confusion. And they're very nice people, ready to help you with whatever you need. Safety is a priority (yours as well as the tourists'), but the trekking ponies are all very nice and quiet. I even got to ride some of the connemaras a little bit. And the place is simply one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland.

Our Connemara Pony Stud, A.I. Clinic and Competition Yard is situated in the heart of the home of the Connemara Pony.
We have 4 Connemara Stallions here at Stud and we offer a drop and collect service for mares in the Breeding Season, keeping them on livery.
Our Competition ponies go the world over, we breed, source, train, produce and compete Connemara Performance ponies. Our ponies are trained to a high standard before we find them a new home.
We are situated 5km from the Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey is also nearby. Our nearby town Clifden is 20 minutes drive. The Sea is nearby, lots of lovely beaches and mountains for that outdoor enthusiast.
