We are seeking a candidate who is interested in building a long-term future with Carrowholly Stables and who appreciates the equestrian lifestyle and countryside living in Ireland throughout the year. Candidate must have at least 10 years experience working FULL TIME with horses. Coaching qualification is a bonus but not a deal breaker. This position is expected to develop into a managerial role following the summer period, once the successful candidate has gained a thorough understanding of the operations at Carrowholly Stables. We are a busy trekking centre along with providing full livery which represents a smaller portion of the business. The ideal candidate will work as a ride leader on our many treks along with carrying out general yard duties. This role is best suited to someone with a strong work ethic who is happy to carry out physically demanding stable work to a high standard. We value initiative, reliability, and a respectful, pleasant manner. The ideal candidate should always remain professional in their workplace and in their relationship with clients. The ideal candidate must have fluent English and own transport for independance.

Applicants must already have the legal right to work in Ireland, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position

We have a four bedroom farmhouse and also a mobile home as staff accommodation.

This centre is a well run yard with a structured schedule. All horses are well trained and used to their job. We take time to train in the suitabe candidate to ensure one feels confident and comfortable working in our centre. The owner is a qaulified coach and is always available to provide support and guidance if needed. Accomodation is provided and all ENERGY BILLS ARE COVERED! We are situated in the townland of Carrowholly which is only a 7 minute drive from Westport Town in County Mayo. Westport has a lot to offer if a good social life is important to you also! We are a hard working and honest family and we will look after you.
