Berkshire Riding Centre is a “highly commended” BHS approved riding school, livery yard and BHS Where to Train centre based in Winkfield, Berkshire looking for an apprenticeship to join our team.
Our apprenticeship programme is one year long, aimed at 16-18 years who have had an interest in horse riding as a hobby and have now decided to purse your love of horses to your career.
You will be working with a third party agency, Haddon Training, and our in-house trainers. We will help you achieve nationally recognised NVQ qualifications through a structured training programme, gaining experience both on the job and through other work. We will also support you through your BHS qualifications starting with Stage 1 Complete Horsemanship.
You would work a 5 day week including at least one weekend day. You will be involved in all aspects of the yard, both horse care and supporting our team of instructors. Riding will be apart of your apprenticeship, ideally you will have a basic experience of this to progress towards your NVQ and BHS qualifications.
This job is not for the faint hearted as it involves hard work – both theory and practical – so you need to be well motivated, hard working, able to work in a team and individually, cope under pressure and be quick thinking.
