Hello!
I have some vacant hours at my small, friendly, private yard near Henley-on-Thames and looking for reliable people or a person to join the team. Ideally I am looking for someone experienced with horses and as a groom!
What you need to do:
- Caring for 2 easy, friendly geldings
- Basic yard duties: turn out, bring in, feed, muck out, cleaning yard, grooming etc
- Riding for the right person
- You will be working alone, so confident taking sole charge and picking up on injuries/problems ideally
- Any additional skills like clipping, plaiting, show grooming, HGV license are highly desirable but not essential
When (please express interest in any or all of below):
- Monday afternoon 16:00 for an hour or two
- Tuesday afternoon 16:00 for an hour or two
- Saturday mornings and afternoons
- Sunday mornings and afternoons
- Holiday/sickness cover if person wishes or accompany to shows to assist
Where:
- We are a small, low key, well kept, private yard, based near Henley-on-Thames in Fawley (RG9 6)
Pay:
- Competitive hourly rates! Please enquire. Dependent on experience.
About us:
- I work in healthcare, and horses are my passion not a job! I try to keep the yard a nice place to work, there are always biscuits, snacks, hot drinks and a warm tack room available. We keep the yard and the horses to a high standard, which is relatively easy to do given there are only two of them. Both geldings are lovely and easy to handle, one is 24 and the other is 9 and successfully competing at low level dressage and SJ. I strive to be a kind and understanding employer.

Equestrian Employer Details
We are a small, well kept, beautiful private yard based near Henley-on-Thames that is home to two very easy, friendly geldings and one owner/rider, who works full time in healthcare and currently manages the yard.
The stables is enclosed in an American Barn style, with a tidy, warm tack-room and separate rug room with washing machine, shower, loo, tea and coffee facilities. We are the kind of yard that always has biscuits and snacks on offer!! We have a 65x25m top quality surfaced arena and surrounding 300m surfaced canter track. Plenty of turnout and we try to keep things as mud free as possible!
We try to make the yard a friendly, welcoming place to work and are understanding as employers. Riding is available for experienced riders. Pay is very generous hourly rate.
