An Exciting Prospect to Develop your Equine Career.
South Bucks RDA is a UK charity providing adults and children with disabilities the opportunity to ride and have equine interaction, to benefit their health and wellbeing.
We are looking for Grooms who would like to train to be a coach or are already coaching. We are small, friendly, busy yard, near Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire, with an international reputation and 14 wonderful horses and ponies. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced staff and volunteers and support our participants, while having the opportunity to train for both RDA and BHS exams. Everyone at South Bucks RDA is passionate about the development of our participants who come to us for their equine interaction: therapy, learning to ride and competing; and we pride ourselves on the quality of care we give our horses and ponies to ensure they can do their job. It is important that you share these values and aims.
‘I have personally been bringing children from Coteford Junior School for 10 years. The volunteers are outstanding, and all the staff go above and beyond to encourage the children. Over the years the benefit to ‘our’ children is immeasurable and the confidence in the children is amazing.’
Your duties will include responsibility for the day-to-day running of the yard, care of our ponies and horses to a high standard, being involved in lessons when needed; and supporting our volunteers. There is also the opportunity to ride and exercise our horses and ponies. You will be a positive and proactive person who enjoys interacting and working with a diverse community of people. Full and part time hours are available to include weekends. Salary will be dependent on experience. Please email a CV and cover letter to the Trustees:
