Groom/Groundkeeper needed to help manage a private yard with 3 horses and 10 acres.

We are a young family living in Devon with a 6 year old and 1.5 year old boy, 2 dogs, 3 horses and a cat. We require an experienced hard working person full time to excercise and care for the horses and other animals on sites and manage the grounds. Our home is located in the Devon countryside close to beach walks and rides.

The successful applicant will be dynamic and flexible to accommodate our busy professional and personal lives. The candidate should have high attention to detail and be able to maintain high standards of animal management and care and keep the grounds to first class standard. The candidate must be a team player and be able to work with other members of the household staff. Above all the candidate must be discreet, reliable and respect our privacy.

The roll includes:

• General duties i.e dog walking
• Horses - all yard duties including exercise of 3/4 horses.
• Gardening - basic weeding/grass cutting/leaf collecting etc while supporting the gardener when required.
• House sitting - looking after the property and animals when we are away.
• Groundswork - other general groundswork required to maintain the property.

The successful applicant will be a proactive person who uses their initiative and someone we can trust to look after our home and animals while we are away working/travelling.

This is a live in role and accommodation will be provided on site.

Full driving license for trailers and 7.5T lorry. Experience using grounds equipment - tractors, lawn care equipment etc.

New one bedroom annex on site.
