Are you interested in an exciting role working with children and ponies?
Hanford is an Independent School for girls aged 7-13 situated in the beautiful Dorset countryside. The stables are an integral part of school life, and the girls have the opportunity to immerse themselves in all aspects of pony life, regardless of previous experience.
The successful candidate will help cultivate a nurturing environment in which the girls will learn the value of horses and ponies in their lives.
This is a full-time role as part of a small team to ensure the welfare of all horses and ponies on site, and the safety of children in and around the stables. A calm, patient approach is essential. It will involve some weekend work and sole charge at times. This is a physical role with some degree of lifting (manual handling training will be provided).
Hours : The role is 42 hours per week over 5.5 days to include weekend work (term time) with reduced hours over the school holidays.

Hanford School is an Independent Day and Boarding School for girls aged 7-13. The beautiful Grade II listed Stables yard is at the heart of the school. Nestled amongst the rolling fields of the Dorset countryside, Hanford is a magical school where girls are able to develop a keen interest in all aspects of Riding and horse and pony care.
There are 23 horses and ponies at the stables during term time, looked after by a small team of staff. There is off-road hacking, lessons in the indoor school and use of the cross country paddock in the summer term.
