New Beginnings is a registered Charity who retrain and re-home former racehorses.

We take in horses straight from racing, but more often from private post racing homes were something has got wrong. We spend the time that these horses need to retrain and ultimately re-home on a lone basis, we never sell our horses, offering them a secure future. New Beginnings is 1 of only 10 Centres accredited to the RoR, we bring inVulnerable Horses through the RoR Vulnerable Horses Scheme. Based in East Yorkshire, we have a purpose designed yard with a capacity for 38 horses at any one time. Under normal times we would attend approx. 20 race meeting a year where we take 2 former racehorses who will stand all day and let the racing public get up close and touch them or we do ridden parades with our horses. Our priority is always the horse, we start there retraining with join up and plenty of ground work, to build trust. We school them to a high standard before we consider putting them on loan.
