Groom to care for and check on brood mares, young stock and competition horses.
Would suit someone living locally to Uckfield/ Crowborough/ Heathfield and who is happy to stay the night to oversee foaling occasionally and must be happy working on their own. Must be honest, reliable and responsible. Confident with horses and good at management as sole charge. Previous experience of brood mares, foals and young horses is a must.
Efficient, clean, tidy, dedicated, quick but thorough and have great attention to detail.
Must be prepared to muck in and not be afraid of hard work, and turn horses out to a high standard.
Equine Skills Required: Bandage, Clip, Equine First Aid, Lunging, Management Skills, Muck Out, Plait, Pull Mane/Tail, Ride, Sole charge, Trim, Show Turnout, Clean tack to a high standard, Exercise / Hack Out helpful but not essential.
Reliable, hardworking, punctual and enthusiastic.
Type of Yard and Facilities: Private yard with competition and young horses, stables, large menage, treadmill and land. Lovely countryside location in beautiful setting with super horses.
