Professional Event and Show jumping yard looking for a full time Yard Manager/Senior Groom

We are a busy competition/livery yard based in East Sussex looking for an experienced yard manager/Groom to help run our family run competition yard.

min applicant age 22+ Full time 5 days per week hours 7.30 - 5pm with breaks and 1 hour lunch 28 days holiday per annum Statutory Sick Pay

The successful applicant will have the following:

• Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of care, management of horses and organisational skills
• confident dealing with young horses through to top level competition horses
• happy to deal with clients,vets, farriers, worming and general yard administration
• assist with overseeing apprentices whilst working on-site
• general yard duties including mucking out to a high standard, clipping, Plaiting,getting horses tacked up and ready for exercise, preparation for shows
• confident to hack and help exercise
• ideally BHS stage III or PC B Test education
• option to live on site negotiated separately
• pay negotiable depending on experience
