Burley Villa School of Riding is a family run and owned Equestrian Centre in The New Forest . We have both British Horse Society and Pony Club accreditation. We offer top-quality care for all our horses, paying close attention to detail, and striving to maintain our facilities at a high standard . We have a strong focus on an enjoyable atmosphere for all our clients, both Livery and Riding School, whether for just a one off pony experience, a longer programme of riding tuition or helping an owner to care for and enjoy their horse at all levels. We are both ambitious and professional with a love of horses at every level. We are seeking an experienced, confident, and professional Head Groom to oversee the day-to-day management of our horses and equestrian facilities. This is a leadership position , supporting the development and maintaining the standards of our Livery and Riding School . The ideal candidate will be skilled, proactive, and passionate about delivering the highest level of equine care. They will be responsible for the daily operation of the yard, presentation of horses for lessons and hacks, and supporting our positive attitude to clients and horses with kindness, structure, and professionalism. Supervising and training staff to support our goals will be a vital part of this role. Strong riding skills and a confident, competent approach to handling horses are highly desirable, along with experience in Clipping , Schooling , Equine First Aid , and all the general areas involved in having Happy & Healthy horses.
· Previous experience in a senior grooming role within a livery or Riding School · Excellent horse handling skills with a calm, confident manner · Organised, tidy, and efficient approach to yard management · Ability to work independently and use initiative · Strong communication and interpersonal skills · Flexible approach to hours, including weekends and evenings · Full UK driving licence · Accommodation can be available

Equestrian Employer Details
We are a family run, BHS approved riding centre with around 30 horses, based in the south of the beautiful New Forest. We provide English and Western riding lessons to regular clients, we have permanent and training liveries, in addition to running a very successful pony club for our younger members. We specialise in Western riding with our Western Trainer and Instructor Tammy Greaves who is former Team GB competitor in Western Competitions around the world and European Western Riding Champion.
