Yard Manager/Groom/Rider Wanted - Small Private Family Yard Hours Up to full time considered, Mโ€“F with occasional w/e competition work. The Role We know we're looking for a bit of a unicorn - if you're out there, the pay will reflect that ๐Ÿฆ„ Small, private family yard with three ponies (1 retired, 1 schoolmaster, 1 6 year old in schooling). We need an experienced, reliable groom to help run it day-to-day alongside our teenage daughter, (especially during school holidays) who is a hands-on and committed young rider Day to day, you'll be: โ— Covering all-round yard duties - mucking out, feeding, turnout, grooming, tacking up โ— Liaising with professionals โ— Riding and exercising the ponies if and when needed, incl hacking. Our daughter rides them regularly herself, but riding once a week might be required, especially during school term times โ— Preparing for and sometimes travelling to competitions (dressage show grooming) โ— Keeping yard and equipment to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene What We're Looking For โ— Solid previous professional grooming experience โ— Able to ride to medium level dressage - you'll be occasionally schooling and exercising the ponies up to medium level. โ— Reliable, physically fit, horse-first attitude โ— Right build/size to comfortably ride ponies โ— Able to drive a 7.5t lorry (valid licence required, 25+ age) โ— Open to live-in if that suits โ€” happy to discuss What We Offer โ— Competitive pay, reflecting experience and fit โ— Mโ€“F hours, with occasional weekends for bigger shows โ— Live-in accommodation option โ— Genuine opportunity be part of a young rider's progress โ— Warm, family environment alongside other full-time staff on site Location Near Andover, on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border (SP11) How to Apply Send your CV, riding/competition experience, and references to kairit@pavelyn.co.uk.

Requirements

We're flexible on hours - from a minimum of 4 hours a day, up to full days split across morning and afternoon - to find the right person for our setup, someone who can help out while the family is at work and school. We're looking for a long-term fit.
