Rider/Groom – Join Our Friendly Racing Yard Team
Kerry Lee Racing is on the lookout for a confident, enthusiastic individual to join our small, professional team in the heart of the stunning Shropshire/Herefordshire countryside.
Ideally, you’ll have experience with racehorses – but if your background is in another equine competition sphere and you're a capable rider with solid horse sense, we’d love to hear from you.
The role involves riding out 3–4 lots each morning, including fast work on the gallops, plus all the usual stable duties. You’ll be riding through our 5,000 acres of forestry, across big grass gallops, and using our top-class private facilities – including a custom-built 6-furlong all-weather carpet fibre gallop and schooling fences.
We’re after someone hardworking, reliable, and confident with fit, fresh horses.
In return, we offer:
A competitive salary (based on experience and ability)
Support, training and career development
30 days holiday
Overtime
Pension
Pool money
We're based near Shobdon, Herefordshire – around 25 minutes from both Ludlow and Hereford Racecourses.
To apply, please email your CV (including your phone number) to kerry@kerrylee.co.uk. Check us out at www.kerrylee.co.uk to get a feel for our yard.
Please note: We are not able to offer sponsorship visas. Applicants must already have the legal right to work in the UK. References will be required.
