We are looking for a competent, reliable and proactive groom to join our team at a private competition yard in Headcorn.

This role would suit someone experienced and confident with a range of horses, including Mare and foal including youngstock, who can work independently and take real ownership of horse welfare and yard standards. You must have a strong understanding of horse care, be observant to changes such as lameness or behavioural shifts and take initiative to ensure all horses are maintained to a high standard at all times

Duties include (but are not limited to): •       Mucking out and maintaining clean, organised stables •       Turning out and bringing iin •       Grooming and general horse care •       Exercising/working horses (depending on experience) •       Daily yard maintenance and tidiness someone who is detailed oriented and genuinely invested in the wellbeing and development of the horses. All the horses are well handled & mannered. It is a lovely private yard to work on Rates of pay negotiable  employed Full time hours flexible but  will include weekends on a shared rota basis 28 days holiday per year and  option to opt in company pension scheme

experience in handling youngstock and bringing horse back into work and starting/ Groundwork longlining, admin keeping on top off worm programme and annual flujabs. ordering feeds dealing with veterinary farrier basic injuries
