About the Club

Yaoyang Equestrian Club is a young and ambitious riding centre with around 20 horses and six instructors. The club competes at local and national shows and regularly hosts international riders and coaches for clinics. The owners are committed to horse welfare, training and equestrian education.

The club is launching a sport horse trading division, where imported horses will be trained, competed and sold.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Head Coach to lead the training and development of our imported sport horses while supporting the wider coaching team.

Key responsibilities:

• School and develop imported horses to enhance performance and market value.
• Prepare and ride horses at local and national competitions.
• Prepare and present sales horses to prospective clients.
• Oversee training, fitness and welfare programmes for imported horses and advise on school horses.
• Train and mentor staff in stable management, lunging, flatwork, polework, jumping and dressage.
• Coach selected club clients.
• Establish high standards of horsemanship, welfare and professional practice across the yard.

What We Are Looking For

• Strong riding, training and coaching ability.
• Experience producing sport horses for competition and/or sale.
• Ownership mentality: treating the horses and yard with care, responsibility and integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across language and cultural differences.
• Ambition to continue developing your own competition record.
